I GOT IT!!!
I got the position!
omigod!
The interview went well. It was not actually an interview. It's more like a negotiation/conversation. After the conversation with the Administration Director and Sales Manager I was already hired. I am the new PR and Marketing Associate.
I will be reporting on the 26th of this month. I was so excited that I tell all my friends immediately. They are so happy for me. It's all worth the wait. I told my current supervisor. Well, ano pa nga ba? Kaplastikan na naman ang pinakita. Well, bitch hates bitch.
I am soooo nerveous and excited as well. Nervous that I may need to forget about my shyness and be a bigtime KAPALMUKS. My job includes dealing with media, high ranking CEO, and artists. I expect this job to be a pain in the ass when it comes to tasks and money wise. But who cares? This is the position I've been dreaming of since time immemorial. And that's when EXCITEMENT comes in.
I just can't wait. However, I wasn't able to take a vacation. Come think of it... I resigned because I want to sleep for a couple of weeks or three and watch TV all day for a month before I go back to work. Well, opportunity comes when you least expect it. I just grabbed the chance. I may lost 3T on my monthly earnings, but what the heck! I want a career. And here it is, I will never let it pass by my sight.
This job may be multi-tasking with a little bit low pay compared to call center but I love the work. This is what I love to do. I've been doing this back in my college days.
WHEW!
I still can't believe it. D pa rin nagsisink in sa utak ko. Kahit wag na. Para masaya!

AM I WORTHY OF THIS?
April 6, 2005, 9am:
I was soooo lazy to get out of bed. The first this I remember is to get my cellphone under my pillow and check if anybody cared to text me.
3 messages received.
While waiting for my fone to open my inbox, I fell sleep again! Haiii sobrang mantika na talaga akooooo!
9:30 am:
Finally, I was able to get up. Then read my text messages. 2 messages from my Huny Care Bear and the other one is from an unknown number. I opened the unknown sender’s message. It reads:
“Hi Bing. Maan Hontiveros here. Please text me when and what nbr I can call u. tnx.”
HUWAAAAAAAATTTTT?????
IT’S MAAN HONTIVEROS!
MAAN HONTIVEROS, THE NEWCASTER FROM THE DEFUNCT “WORLD TONIGHT”!!!
MAAN HONTIVEROS THE MANAGING DIRECTOR OF THE NEWSBREAK MAGAZINE!!!
Is this just a dream? This can’t be!
Let me give you a brief story how Ms Hontiveros knew me.
Jobstreet. I applied for Advertising Sales Executive for Newsbreak Magazine. Actually, I really don’t know yet that the post is for that magazine because they only posted their company name as F. I. R. M. (Foundation for Independent and Responsible Media). So to make the long story short, I was able to pass the first few interviews and was was with the last 4 candidates who will be interviewed by Ms. Hontiveros and it was the final one. I was sooooo nervous because it’s her. On the interview, she told me that she needs someone who can make 4million sales. I just don’t remember if it is 4M for the whole year or for just for the quarter. Obviously she needs someone who is capable of doing this and who had a rich experience in sales. The other three candidates were really good in that business. And I, who has just a few months experience, am not expecting a call from her since I am the least in the list. (ehehhehehe!)
Enough with the flashback…
I replied to her text. Then after a few minutes the phone rang. I was so exhausted by the thought that it was she on the other line. I answered and we talked.
She asked me if I’m interested in working with the Arts or with Public Relations Management. I said yes. She then again asked me if I’d be interested in working with THE BALLET PHILIPPINES. I said yes, of course. She even persuaded by saying that company is a good one. Well, whether or not it is very good, the thought that it was Maan who is offering me a job is cool enough for me to say yes. So she schedules me for a meeting with the Ballet Philippines’ HR Manager and the Sales Director. I thanked her and we hang up.
She’s so cool and a very down to earth person. Not to mention that she’s just wearing a casual polo shirt when she interviewed me then.
And so I dressed up and go to work that day. I opened my work PC and go to BALLET PHLIPPINES website. I read some of their stuffs and I visited their list of directors page.
There I see Mrs. Amelita Ramos, the ex-first lady, as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Antonio Cojuangco as the Vice Chairman. And then the President… guess who?
It’s MAAN HONTIVEROS!!!!!
OMG!
I just talk to the President of the BOT of Ballet Phils.!
Well, until now I still can't believe it. I don't care if I got hired or not. Bahala na. basta tinawagan ako ni Ma-an. Astiiig! sha pa nag-refer saken. Ibang klase.
Ang angas kooooo!
